stavroz is a belgian band that plays live, not a solo dj. resident advisor and electronic groove both date the start to 2011, when IJsbrand De Wilde and Gert Beazar started working together as djs and sound engineers. Maxim Helincks and Pieter De Meester came in afterwards for the live show and the studio. they work out of ghent.

the record that sits at the top of their spotify page is The Finishing. it arrived on The Ginning, a six track release on délicieuse records dated 28 september 2015. the Gold Town EP followed on moodfamily on 26 may 2017, and their kindisch material runs through 2015 and 2016.

Kick Up The Dust came out under stavroz sounds on 1 september 2023. then the album Take a Seat, fourteen tracks with RY X on Lilac, landed on moodfamily on 17 october 2025. they told decoded magazine that month that they had changed their usual way of working for it, writing together rather than shaping ideas separately in four home studios.

the live setup is the thing they keep circling back to.

What we enjoy about playing live is how dependent we are on one another. If one link in the system is unavailable, the show doesn't work. That makes it challenging, but also very rewarding.

2026 keeps them on festival stages. summer contrast festival at rogalino in świdwin, poland runs 4 to 10 august 2026, with stavroz billed as a live set on a bill that also carries Monolink and Infected Mushroom. hangar's beach party at kh summercamp in knokke-heist, belgium follows on 8 august 2026 alongside colyn. then tsoa's tenth anniversary at seaseaclub in barcelona on 3 october 2026, with patrice bäumel and marino canal. tickets are on sale for all three. no colorado date is published.
