Jeffrey Paradise started this in a converted backyard pool house in los angeles in early 2011, originally with filip nikolic, and has run it alone for years now. the genre is his own invention and he trademarked it: daytime disco, described on his own pages as light but danceable, sunny, liquid.

the record everybody knows is a neil young cover. Harvest Moon, from the debut album Pacific Standard Time in july 2012, has more plays than the rest of the catalogue put together.

five albums so far, the most recent being Blame It All On Love on counter records in october 2023. since then it has been singles, including Pull Together with Satin Jackets in march 2025 and Bedroom Eyes with stevie appleton in june 2026. he made I Feel High with DRAMA, and Vandelux remixed harvest moon, both of them further up this page.

I didn't choose an instrumental. I chose a song. It just happens to be an instrumental.

in january 2025 he lost his home and studio in the los angeles fires. what came out of it was pull together, and a benefit show at aviator nation dreamland that march with diplo, SIDEPIECE, DRAMA and aluna, with the net proceeds going to musicares.

he toured for close to a decade as a six piece live band, at coachella, outside lands and primavera, and also plays dj sets, so check which one you are buying. in 2026: miami beach bandshell on 10 july, knoxville on 21 august, and both ojai and the ocean way festival in santa monica on 26 september.
