needs no sleep is one australian producer working under a name that reads like a party brand and is not one. he took the alias in 2016 after a trip to ibiza pointed him at the underground end of dance music, having produced under a different name before that.

the label list is long and mostly other people's houses. this ain't bristol, hexagon, uprise music, cr2, be rich and astrx have all taken records. Timmy Turner, made with kxne, went out on repopulate mars on 2 june 2023 and is the one that reads best as a calling card.

the biggest record so far is Paige's Song (Na Na Na), a piano vocal house track released on vicious on 14 august 2025. it climbed to number eleven on the ARIA top 50 club tracks chart in the week of 22 september 2025. Addicted, cut with tom budin and kxne for this ain't bristol on 12 september 2025, charted alongside it that same month.

through 2026 he has been shipping singles at a steady clip on up all night recordings. The Way It Was on 23 january 2026, Come On Over on 13 march 2026, 24-7 on 15 may 2026 and Piece Of My Heart on 10 july 2026. between them he runs sample packs, presets and a mixing and mastering service out of his own site, which is unusual visibility for a producer at this level.
