job de jong is based in leiden and works out of the amsterdam house scene. he started his career in 2019 and the sound has not wandered far since. 90s house bones, big basslines, raw drum loops and a melody you can still hum on the way home. his own listed influences are kerri chandler, todd terry and green cloud, which tells you most of what you need to know before you press play.
his first record for PIV was the Enchanted ep on 24 march 2023, four originals plus a folamour remix of the title track. PIV is prunk's amsterdam label, running since 2015, and Chris Stussy was its first a&r, so it is a good room to be standing in. the track that carried furthest is Move, which led the PIV Limited twelve inch on 15 november 2024 and became the one people know him for.
after that he spread out across labels. Dub House landed on reliance on 25 april 2025 and picked up a kepler remix, Take One came out on tszr, three six zero recordings, on 1 august 2025, and The Message ep arrived on Josh Baker's you&me records on 12 september 2025. talman, locus, hardline and airtime have all had records from him too.
2026 has been steady rather than showy. Deep Inside with kepler came out on contact music on 24 april, Get On Up with michel de hey on haven trax on 26 june, Selecta on gettraum on 3 july, and the Link Up ep went back to haven trax on 10 july.
he plays both nights of you&me at the warehouse project, friday 2 october 2026 and saturday 3 october 2026, both at depot mayfield in manchester and both sold out. Josh Baker tops each night. friday puts him alongside Prospa, Carlita, Julian Fijma, Marsolo, Stef Davidse and Dennis Quin. saturday adds M-High, Dennis Cruz, Seth Troxler, Sidney Charles and Jamback.
