Steven Baan launched estiva in 2007 and has not stopped since, first through enhanced recordings, anjunabeats and armada, which is a trance and progressive lineage rather than a club house one. he has been a colorize regular since 2017, putting out originals and remixes and curating the label's colorscapes compilation series.

Infinita, his fourth album, arrived on colorize on 9 june 2023 with jess ball, julia church, cosmosky, diana miro and rbbts across it, and pushed harder into progressive house and techno than anything before it. Embrace, the fifth, followed on 25 april 2025, fourteen tracks with liz cass and gaalia among the voices, teased ahead of release by Sudden Moves, Parlez-Vous, Lonely Keys and KFIL.

the run through 2026 has been steady and all of it on colorize. Via Balearia came on 10 june, Palma on 8 july, and the Solyra ep is due on 5 august. he also runs his own label, Potentially Dreaming, started in 2022, which his site describes as a liminal space where boundaries between realities and vivid dreams blur.

both of his confirmed dates are colorize fifteenth birthday shows. on 10 october 2026 he plays colorize: 15 years at e1 in london, alongside anamē, einmusik and icarus. on 22 october 2026 he plays the amsterdam dance event edition at toekomstmuziek, doors at 20:00, with allknight, helsloot and fejká.
