echonomist grew up in thessaloniki, and the whole thing starts with a synthesizer his family bought him as a child. before the alias he fronted a downtempo project called IνΦο that put out three albums by 2009.

the alias took him a long way from downtempo. Secret Places, his 2023 album for innervisions, brought in nadia ali on vocals along with avangart tabldot and alexandros miaris of electric litany. afterlife, kompakt and TAU have all carried his records too.

in 2025 he started Flying Hearts with jenia tarsol. it opened with The Harbour, a rework of a song by the uk band Throws from their 2016 album, and the pair set it up so every release would come paired with an artist portrait.

he keeps good company on a bill. on 20 june 2026 he played a live set at carroponte in milan on a mind against night alongside Adriatique.

It's important to remind yourself that you exist even when the music stops.
