a ukrainian duo from kyiv, working together since 2014, who go by Artur and Batish everywhere they control the copy. beatport files them under melodic house and techno and has had them as the top selling artist in that category.

richie hawtin played their 2015 track Mandrake for the best part of a year, which is how the first doors opened. the record that opened the rest was a remix: monolink's Return to Oz, reworked in 2018, still their most played track by a distance at over a hundred million.

from there, two eps on diynamic with dino lenny, one of them called Upperground, Montserrat / Closer with whomadewho on watergate in 2019, and Best of Me with sailor & i, which went to number one on beatport in 2020.

they launched UPPERGROUND in august 2021, taking the name from that diynamic ep, and it is now a label and a touring show at once. in 2025 they filled legia warsaw stadium with twenty two thousand people under that banner, with armin van buuren, korolova and miss monique guesting. armin is also on Take Off, made with them for armada in february 2024.

they remixed Cola for CamelPhat and Elderbrook in august 2025, which is the record just above this one, and when dj mag asked them for their favourite track of 2025 they picked Adriatique's remix of RÜFÜS DU SOL's In The Moment. both of those are on this page too. they entered the dj mag top 100 proper for the first time in 2025 at number seventy three.

the rest of 2026: resistance at amnesia in ibiza on 19 august, brunch electronik in barcelona on the twenty third, amsterdam dance event in october, and dreamstate socal in long beach on 20 and 21 november, which is a trance festival and very much on purpose.
