ardalan was born in tehran and split his childhood between iran and california before moving to california for good in 2006. he fell into the bay area's underground scene and connected with the dirtybird crew, releasing his breakout record, Mr. Spock, with justin martin in 2010.

in 2019 he released his debut album, Mr. Good, through dirtybird. he has said he made something like 250 versions of the title track before he was finally satisfied with it.

I feel like I am always constantly testing new ideas and taking risks to do something different.

in january 2026 he joined Shaded, black V neck and life on planets on Spiraling, a dirtybird release built for peak time sets.

he returned to dirtybird in march 2026 with I Am, a collaboration with the vocalist marieme.

he has one confirmed date for 2026, at elements music & arts festival in pocono raceway, pennsylvania, on 7 august 2026. no other dates are published on resident advisor or on his own channels.
